Web 2.0 for Dummies
I’ve been hearing about Google Docs but until recently I didn’t quite see the appeal of creating office documents from browser-based applications, and ones that are far less sophisticated in many ways than Microsoft Office, at that. Then I came across this YouTube video that explains its advantages.
I thought this video had a certain low-tech appeal. The video was done for Google by a company called Common Craft, and they have other “plain English” videos that explain some other Web 2.0 tech like social bookmarking, Twitter, and RSS. If you already use these technologies then there probably won’t be much new there, but they seem like they would serve as useful introductions.
