African American’s aren’t the only ones suffering from Vitamin D deficiency, but also the elderly who are less able to cutaneously synthesize it, and the obese who store Vitamin D up in their fat, thereby reducing bioavailability.

Vitamin D deficiency has also been connected to Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Even Schizophrenia.

However, it is toxic in high doses so… get tested.

Hello,
I am going threw the same thing also my two year old broke his leg jumping on the bed . DHS is taking me to trail later this week to try and take my kids. come to find out his vitamin D is low and Doctors and I are working to find out how far the rabbit wholes goes with this . I could use any help anyone can offer

This is a very interesting and informative post. It’s a sad thing that there are health professionals who get confused with child abuse and vitamin d deficiency.

Thank you for reprinting this newsletter–the more it gets read, the better! I am a parent also going through false allegations of child abuse due to undiagnosed vitamin D deficiency. I am also trying to network parents going through the same ordeal.
